Review policy
Reader reviews are only useful if they're real. Here's how we keep them that way.
Two kinds of reviews on this site
- What reviewers say is our own summary of public reviews on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, app stores and Reddit. Every theme links to its source, quotes are short and credited, and when there's too little evidence we say so.
- Reader reviews are written by AITeamGuide readers through the form on each product page. These are the only reviews we mark up as reviews for search engines. We never mark up ratings from other sites.
How a reader review gets published
- You submit the form. We email you a confirmation link; nothing happens until you click it. Unconfirmed reviews are deleted after 3 days.
- The editor reads every confirmed review. We check that it's about the product, based on your own use, and follows the rules below.
- Approved reviews appear on the product page with your chosen name or initials. Rejected ones are deleted after 30 days.
What we publish and what we reject
- We publish positive, negative and mixed reviews alike. We never reject a review because it's critical or because of its star rating.
- We reject reviews that aren't based on your own use, are written by or for the vendor or a competitor, contain personal information about other people, are abusive or discriminatory, are spam or advertising, or are about something else entirely.
- We don't edit what you wrote. The one exception: we may remove a phone number, email address or other personal details and mark the edit.
No paid or fake reviews
- We don't pay for reviews or offer discounts, entries or gifts for them, and we don't let vendors do so through our form.
- We don't write reviews ourselves or ask vendors for "customer reviews" to post.
- Vendors, their staff, agencies and competitors may not review products they have a stake in. Reviewers confirm this when they submit.
Vendors can't remove negative reviews
A vendor can't pay to remove or hide a review, and buying a featured listing or sponsorship doesn't change this. If a vendor thinks a review breaks this policy (for example, it's about a different company), they can tell us why and we'll check it against these rules, the same as for any report. A vendor may also publicly correct a factual error, and we'll consider adding a short, labelled vendor response.
Disclosure
AITeamGuide may earn affiliate commissions or sell clearly labelled featured listings (see how we make money). None of that affects which reader reviews are published, and reader reviews don't change our rankings automatically. Star averages and "what readers pay" figures are calculated only from published reader reviews and show how many reviews they're based on.
Your data
Your email is never shown. See our privacy notice for what we store and for how long. To change or delete your review, reply to your confirmation email.
